I attended the 8th International Gully Symposium hosted by CSIRO earlier this year and met with colleagues from all over the globe to discuss innovative and cost-effective solutions to address the negative impacts of erosion.  The stark contrast between landscapes in Australia and China, for example, demand vastly different remediation activities and it was fascinating to hear about the scale of efforts to arrest and remediate sites in China as well as in India, Mexico and Spain.   Find out more about the Symposium at www.csiro.au/en/Research/LWF/ISGE .
